Artists needed! at CONTACT Community Services

The New Tecumseth Seniors Crafting Program, "Recycled Inspirations" will give seniors of South Simcoe the opportunity to learn new artistic and craft skills while using recycled materials to help the environment. The goal of the program is to increase opportunities for rural seniors to become more active and involved in the community while developing positive social networks.

CONTACT is holding workshops in 2 different senior's housing complexes in Beeton and Alliston, as well as opening up these workshops to the public 3 times a year at the Gibson Center. We are seeking artists to donate their time and expertise at some of the workshops by leading seniors to create different types of crafts such as jewellery making, painting, weaving, and any other craft you might be able to offer teaching.

The first event is at the Gibson center on Thursday June 22nd from 12-4 pm which will be open to seniors of the public. We are in need of an artist to lead this event, preferably painters.
