Suu Taylor

Executive Director
Suu has been involved with SSAC Music Festival for the last five years volunteering as Vocal Coordinator and Chairperson of the Music Festival Planning Team. She has a music studio in Alliston, teaching voice and piano to students of all ages. After graduating from University of Windsor with a Bachelor or Music in Vocal Performance, Suu was active in Toronto's opera scene, both as a soloist and professional chorister.

Suu began to create and sell her jewellery at a season in her life when she was working from home and raising her family. Suu's jewellery features gemstones and silver wire. Suu finds it an interesting challenge to find the unique beauty in each stone and create a beautiful setting in which to showcase the gemstone.

Suu is passionate about teaching the importance of art in contributing to a balanced, emotionally healthy person, particularly in school curricula. Suu has also volunteered at Alliston Union and Ernest Cumberland Public Schools, leading extra-curricular choirs and serving as the music director at AUPS' musicals.

Suu is also an experienced administrator and program director. In 2003 she created and led the children's program for Upper Room Community Church and is still active teaching the kids and leading worship. As a member of URCC, Suu has been involved in fundraising to support an orphanage in Guinea, West Africa that cares for children whose lives have been affected by HIV/AIDS. Suu also has a heart to at-risk youth, particularly those who have been caught up in human trafficking. Suu's experience in outreach serves her local community because of the lessons she has gained from serving and meeting the needs of others.

Suu is excited to take on a new role which opens opportunities to serve her community, and help promote local art and artists.

Classes at Crazy Pants Theatre Company encourage actors of all skill levels to participate. Watching her students grow in confidence and skill through the medium of performing arts has been incredibly rewarding.
