Member Leonora Husveti-Frenette burst into the art scene in 2013 from a background in psychology and performing arts. Leonora won 2nd prize from the South Simcoe Arts Council in her first creation and in 2014 she won the Alice Forestell Award for the most promising Emerging Artist.

The South Simcoe Arts Council is taking registrations for the March Break Painting at the Gibson!
March 16 - 20, 2015 9 - 4 daily includes materials
Cost for the full week is $200 or $50 per day. Create your own acrylic paintings using professional artist's materials provided. Explore brush strokes, colour mixing, and painting techniques, through daily themes. with Artist in Residence at the Gibson Centre, Greg Hindle.
