We are happy to extend the opportunity to showcase young talent
in both literary arts and visual arts!

The SSAC will be holding a Creative Works Youth Writing Contest in three categories, including poetry and short story, based on the submission of up to 2 pieces of written work. Details are attached. Contest closes October 3, 2016; so, put your creative minds to work now while you enjoy the warm days of summer. It is a great time to start creating short stories and poetry!
1st place $75.00
2nd place $50.00
3rd place $25.00

The South Simcoe Arts Council will also be presenting a Youth and an Emerging Arts Show in September following Labour Day through to October 18th, 2016. Our two key awards shall be the Alice Forestell Bursary Award with Best of Show for emerging artists from Grade 11 through adult, valued at $150.00, and Best of Show for children and youth, valued at $100.00.

We look forward to featuring the remarkable talent of South Simcoe
and celebrating their achievements! These works, in addition to the chosen creative writings, will be exhibited and enjoyed at our SSAC Gift Shop during this time. Please contact our office for Registration.

Again, by popular demand, our membership will have the opportunity of exhibiting, promoting and selling their works during November and December 2016! We have created a new SSAC Exhibit Application; attached.
