Fields of Expression Projects for Emerging Artists and Juried Show for Experienced Artists

Both Emerging Artists and Experienced Artists registering for this year's events will create works interpreting the theme: New Tecumseth, A Legacy of Agriculture, in any medium.

The Emerging Artists shall create works in any medium, on a 12 inch square canvas. The canvases will be hung together to create a large mosaic to be displayed in the Bank of Montreal at Victoria and Church Street from June 4 to June 22, 2015.

The public may purchase a numbered square for $30 to receive a work of art and help support emerging artists. Canvases will be on sale within our communities, the Alliston Home Show and Beeton Honey & Garden Festival. Funds raised will benefit emerging artists in South Simcoe, with prizes of $300.$200 and $100 and an opportunity to attend a master class.

The Juried Show is open to all established artists who have participated in three or more shows. Up to two pieces of work to be submitted for Jurying, may be of any and all mediums, must be original. Works to be juried and highlighted in the Juried Show must not have been shown / exhibited in a previous South Simcoe Art Council Show. No kits or commercial molds.

Upon acceptance, additional works of the artist may be shown for sale in their store window placement but will not be judged for prizes. Only the pieces Juried will be judged for prizes.
