MARCH BREAK: Scratch Arts Workshop

On Dragon Wings Studio is excited to be bringing scratch art to the SSAC. Learn to scratch and cut your marks with various styles of tools and begin your masterpieces!

Ages 5 to 14 from 10am - 11:30am

Participants will enjoy getting hands on creating their own scratchboards and then scraping and scratching them to reveal beautiful colourful images! Scratch art is a safe, creative, and fun way to get your child imersed in the visual arts. All materials are included. All participants are asked to bring a smock.

Ages 15 to Adult from 1pm - 3pm

Artist quality Ampersand scratchboards will be provided (black ink over white clay on a masonite backing) to this age group. Scratchboard is excellent for rendering the natural textures of feathers, fur, bark, and stone. Colour your creations at home afterward. Participants are asked to bring a 5 x 7 sketch or a photocopy of an image you wish to create. All materials are provided.

Make sure to register early. There are only 8 spots available in each of these workshops.
