OUTCOME OF SSAC DEPUTATION TO TOWN OF NEW TECUMSETH COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING HELD Monday, May 4, 201
Dear Members;
Further to our email to you last Saturday, The President and Executive Director along with Board members and members of the South Simcoe Arts Council attended the Committee of the Whole meeting of May 04, 2015. We addressed Council regarding the impacts and concerns of the Board. We are pleased to report that as a result of these efforts the reduction of $9,400 was totally reclaimed. The plan of action discussed at the previous meeting of our Board of Directors will be considered for continuation of identified items.
The Board will be entering into discussions of the Business Plan for 2015/16 over the summer months and will incorporate items from the plan of action in this process. The Board will review all programs/services and funding sources. The Board will need to assess the detailed operating costs and investigate strategies for process improvement in all areas. All of this will need to be completed by October so that our new budget year incorporates changes and mitigations.
