Works by Alyssa Schroder

Alyssa Schroder is a young, self-taught artist specializing in watercolour and inks. Raised near Toronto, Ontario, Alyssa recently moved to Owen Sound in 2012 with her husband. She works primarily with ink and watercolour, but has also experimented with various acrylic techniques.
Alyssa has always had an interest in art from an early age, and began experimenting with different mediums throughout her high school years. She is especially drawn to the intricate detail of ink sketching when combined with the softness of watercolour paints. Alyssa’s everyday life experiences push her to paint and her desire is for the works to evoke the same feeling that she was first inspired by.

When she is not painting, Alyssa can often be found teaching music lessons at her private piano studio, having a cup of tea with her house cat, or exploring the beautiful outdoors of Grey Bruce County.

Schroder's work will be showcased at The Well (81 Victoria Street, Alliston) for the month of July and August. Stop by and enjoy the coffee, the community, and the art!
