SSAC & Member Artist Events - Online nature journaling class: The Fantastic Fall Forest

Take a virtual stroll through the autumn forest and explore its layers through nature journaling, with SSAC member Len from Pencils, Paper & Nature.

Len is a wildlife artist and Ontario Master Naturalist. Join her on a virtual exploration of the forest, through original photo and video footage, to discover its bounty of autumn treasures from tree top to forest floor. In this 3-session class, Len shares a presentation that closely examines a variety of species and provides live, step-by step sketching techniques to create sketches and journal pages.

Nature journaling helps us connect with nature in creative and personal ways. By recording our observations through sketches and notes, we discover and learn more about our natural world.

The aim of this class is:
- to encourage nature exploration;
- to inspire observations through awareness and curiosity;
- and to spark confidence in creating nature sketches.

Supplies required for each class are: a pencil, eraser and 4 sheets of paper or a sketchbook.
