Exhibits & Events - Arts in Our Community Submissions, Exhibits, & Purchase - Christine Hickson

"My name is Christine Hickson and I am a local artist based in Innisfil. I started my artistic journey at the University of Guelph, where I received my degree in Fine Arts. I am drawn to nature photography, oil paint and punchy colours. I am passionate about mixed media and love to collage together something new, something unexpected. I view art like cooking, it is a creative exercise combining different elements into something balanced and harmonious, a finished flavourful product that hopefully makes you consider the ingredients differently. My artwork varies considerably from examining inherent perceptions to whimsical scenes. I like to explore artistically as much as I can, when I can. I am currently working to finish my teaching degree and I hope to someday inspire artistic exploration with the upcoming generation."
