The South Simcoe Arts Council has been shining a spotlight on up and coming writers of all ages, in all genres through its Creative Works Writing Contest since 2016.

Creative Works Writing contest is open to writers of poetry and short stories who live in Ontario. Entries are judged by professional authors who provide written feedback to help the writers grow and develop their craft. Cash prizes are offered in each category and age level. Winning entries may be published in SSAC's Arts Talk blog.
Deadline for entries is 11:59pm on November 13th, 2021.

Want an extra challenge? Try our new Challenge Class. The Creative Works team will choose a new challenge each year. This year's challenge is to write a short story around the theme of "A Strange Request at a Piano Bar."
