Current Exhibits - Ailene MacDougall

A Toronto-born artist, currently resides in Innisfil, Ontario, Canada. Throughout her adult life, Ailene expressed her creativity through representative subject paintings in oils, acrylics, and pen & ink - mainly urban and landscape imagery. She is embracing the challenge as a an abstract colourist in mixed media with her driving passion for colour, composition and detail that builds a vibrant, unique and fresh contemporary style.

In 2022 she retired from business careers, and Ailene is fully embracing the third chapter of her life as an artist. A largely self-taught creative, she brings her expertise in corporate strategy and franchise ownership to building her brand and gaining global exposure. With her focus now entirely on her art, Ailene is finally dedicating herself to her lifelong passion full-time.

She is an active member of the Barrie Art Club, South Simcoe Arts Community, the Women’s Art Association of Canada and the Muskoka Arts Council
