Book of Spells

Would you like to have your very own creepy looking spell or potion book ?

In this workshop you get to design and make your own spell book!

1st Class
You get to choose if you want a snake, bug, skull, skeleton or bat on your front cover, along with what title you want your book to have. We glue all these fun things onto our cover. Then to make our cover look old, mysterious, and creepy we will cover the whole front with a layer of paper towels, we smoosh the paper towel on really well with gel medium. That part will dry over night.

2nd Class
The next class we get to paint our book dark brown to make it old antique looking.
While the paint is drying, we will pick out the fun things we want to put inside our book.
Inside our book is a cut out pocket shrine space. This is a space that you get to fill with small animal shapes, keys, words, sparkles, neat rocks, gems or charms. You decorate your inside space.
Then as the final touch we get to rub a metallic paste over the parts of the front cover on the book that you want to highlight.

This creates a shiny element of depth to our magic spell book! and Voila! You have your very own magic book made by
you!!

*SSAC reserves the right to cancel any class due to low enrolment. We recommend registering as early as possible.
