Lino Block - Flora & Fauna
Turn your favourite plant or animal into a beautiful greeting card by learning how to design, carve and print your very own.
Class 1: Using your reference photo of your pet, favourite animal or plant, you will draw and carve your design on an 'easy carve' block.
Class 2: You will print your design on card stock, perhaps even hand-colouring it if time allows.
Once you have your carved block you can use it over and over, even printing your own wrapping paper.
Participants should wear appropriate clothing for painting/ink and perhaps bring gloves.
*SSAC reserves the right to cancel any class due to low enrolment. We recommend registering as early as possible.
Location: The Make Space room at FortyOne: Local Art Market, 41 Victoria Street East, Alliston

Materials
All printing materials will be provided. Students only need to bring their own carving tools and reference photos.
If you don't have carving tools, a starter set will be available to purchase for a nominal fee of $18, which you can take home after the workshop.

Since getting my Bachelor of Fine Arts, I have worked as a professional artist for more than 35 years. I am passionate about all things that pertain to and are beneficial to our planet Earth. My main focus to explore these ideas is drawing and painting, although I have been known to turn my hand to mosaics, hand built furniture and more recently, lino block cards.
