Rocky Shore Port Dover

Step into the serene charm of Port Dover with "Rocky Shore Port Dover," a captivating oil painting from a series inspired by the artist's visits to this picturesque town in 2017. Nestled on the north side of Lake Erie, Port Dover is renowned for its fresh Perch suppers and the unique motorcyclist gatherings. Beyond its bustling events, it holds quiet, enchanting spots like the one depicted here.
This piece captures a beloved scene between the iconic lighthouse and the public beach that offers a glimpse into Port Dover before the summer crowds arrive, showcasing the peaceful stillness of an unhurried season on a cool windy day in May.
Painted with rich oil pigments on TerraskinĀ®, an innovative and eco-friendly paper made from rock and polymers, and mounted on a cradled wood panel, this artwork blends artistic tradition with sustainability. The painting's cool tones and detailed textures evoke the fresh, invigorating atmosphere of the beach, inviting viewers to experience the serene and timeless allure of this cherished location bringing a touch of tranquility into any space.
