Artist Bio

Vern Shute has been journaling and writing poetry for about 50 years, especially over the past 25 years. "My Journey Up The Mountain" is his first collection of poetry selected from the past quarter century. Vern is retired and lives with his wife, Gillian, in the country near Lisle, Ontario. In addition to writing, he enjoys gardening, photography, woodworking, golf, curling, playing guitar, travelling when possible, and spending as much time as possible with his family and grandchildren. Balancing personal and familiy time with creative efforts, recreation, travel and yard work makes for a busy, enjoyable retirement.

We are all on a journey through the many circumstances, challenges and opportunities that life presents.
