The Boy

This portrait of my oldest son captures the pure joy with which he has always attacked life. He’s looking straight at the viewer and drawing you into his world. The bright colours of the acrylic background and watercolour portrait are enhanced with added texture from a variety of papers, string and found objects, including the nametag from my dad’s hard hat , which represents for me the spirit that connects them.
