Artist Bio

My name is Daniela Torelli and I have been a local to our beautiful New Tecumseth area for the last 25 years.
I made a drastic career change from a Vet Technician to a Welder 8 years ago and completely fell in love with the craft of welding and opportunities available.
Welding has allowed me to combine both my passions of horses and welding into a business and expressing myself in a new art form.
I get asked often, why "Think Pink Welding"? Women in the welding industry often face inequality and barriers because of their gender. Having the word Pink (also my favourite colour) next to welding, opens the door for healthy conversations and helps shift mindsets when they think about welding.
When I joined the South Simcoe Arts Council, I had a tough time calling myself an artist and was not educated in the arts. This community welcomed me with open arms and has provided so much support and resources that I am forever grateful for.
The South Simcoe Arts Council is truly Arts For All!
