This painting is an original piece by South Simcoe Arts Council member artist Kai-Liis McInnes of Heed Farm Alpacas.
Watercolour and mixed media paintings by Kai-Liis McInnes have won numerous awards, and have been included in exhibitions in Canada, the U.S.A., Mexico, and her native Estonia. Recently, she has added acrylics on canvas to her repertoire.
Many of her paintings have been inspired by recent travels to the Yukon, Peru, the Eastern Arctic and Greenland, Africa, as well as Churchill to see the magnificent polar bears.
With all four daughters off on their own, Kai-Liis now divides her time between painting, teaching, running her alpaca farm (in the Mulmur Hills, north of Toronto), riding her Icelandic horses, and playing with her collie puppy, Spirit - Emily.
