"In June of 2022, I lived in a tent, on the sea ice off the coast of Baffin Island for a week. I made 3 trips to the Floe Edge. On the last trip we were treated to a show of 10 - 15 Bowhead whales who were eating and diving for the next 6 hours! Bowhead whales are arctic whales that are 60ft long, 120,000 lb and baleen feeders." - this image is from that time.

My name is Kathy MacFarlane, and photography is a passion for me. I have turned that passion into a photography business and shoot virtual tours and interiors for real estate, and everything else for fun!
I am always up for the challenge of capturing the unscripted story of people and nature. I particularly like to capture birds and animals. I like to explore this amazing world we live in and use my photos to capture stories of what I see.
