Youth Mentorship Program

Youth Mentorship Program

Spring/Summer Session Registration is now Closed!

The SSAC is thrilled to announce our new Youth Mentorship Program.
In this program, we will develop and foster relationships between professional artists and the next generation of emerging visual artists, writers, and performers, in an environment that encourages collaboration, skill sharing, and exploration!

This program will provide the opportunity for youth to engage with new art forms , as well as equip them with life long tools, including but not limited to: communication, marketing and self-promotion, curation, mounting work, and portfolio assembly.

Based off of their interest, students will be matched with an artistic mentor to collaborate with, and create a work or series of works. Mentorship meetings will occur bi-weekly.

Students will also participate in 6 workshops from different artistic disciplines to further explore, experiment, and expand their creativity.

At the conclusion of the session, there will be a group exhibition that will display the works created within the mentorship. Participants will get to share their work with their friends and families.

This Program is funded by the Ontario Trillium Foundation and is free for youth participants.

Applications are open to youth 14-18.
Spots are limited!
Applications do not guarantee acceptance. Placement is subject to availability of a mentor for your chosen discipline.
