The Creative Works Writing Contest was started in 2016 by SSAC Wordsmiths, a group of authors who wanted to shine a light on up-and-coming writers.
The contest has grown and now offers an opportunity for local writers of all ages to have their short stories and poetry read and adjudicated by professional authors.
Creative Works awards cash prizes each year with the opportunity to be published online.

We are excited to announce the Betty Tomlinson Anderson Awards for Literary Excellence for first ($150) and second ($100) place awards in Adult Short Story. This award is generously provided by John Tomlinson and family.
