Sherryl Hopper

When developing a painting, it is important for me to tell a story within my paintings when painting in watercolour, acrylic and oils.

I like to add an air of emotion and interest by using different shades of colour in both muted and vibrant colours as well as a strong emphasis on composition using an abstracted form of realism.

Painting is a very happy place for me. I am interested in painting many different subject matters which includes landscapes, architecture, animals, and a love of doing large abstracts.

I am a long time resident of Barrie and belong to the Barrie Art Club, the Gibson Centre and South Simcoe Arts Council as well as teaching in my home studio.
