Setting life to Stone

Peace is just a virtue

Hope is just advice

Hidden here inside hallowed walls

Locked under tainted chains

A figure of stone lingers

Within the shadows of time

Slumbering it awaits the changing of the tide

Come no further, then you are lost

Speak no words, then you are found

Here enwrapped with tomes of old

Encased in such beauty, yet hidden in such misery

I beseech thy to go further than I

To set ablaze to the folly of the past

and pass the torch to the young

For it will be them

To explore and rewrite the times of war

To succeed in what could not have been before

To surpass the meaning of origin

And weaken the excuses of hate

To carry the flame and bring life to the stone.
