This mural, an act of art in the spirit of reconciliation,
recognizes our connection to each other and to the land.
The design by SSAC artist Lisa Rosati depicts animals representing the seven clans
of the Anishanaabe people whose traditional territory includes Simcoe County.
The Ojibwe word 'gidinawendimin' means we are all related.
When the mural is complete, it will hang up at the New Tecumseth Town Hall for The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on Sept 30th.
