Holland Marsh Centennial Art Contest
Rules and Regulations
Participants will be asked to agree with the following:
- Artists may submit one or two works up to 36" x 36".
- This is a juried contest. Only artwork that has been accepted will be displayed in the exhibit space. Participants will be notified by October 4th if they have been accepted.
- Accepted works will be displayed in the Bradford West Gwillimbury Public Library (the Library) from October 5-November 2. Artists are responsible for dropping off their artwork October 3-4, 2025.
- Accepted artwork must remain on display for the duration of the exhibit. Removing your work early may disqualify you from awards.
- All works will be juried. Awards are given at the discretion of the adjudicators. The decisions of the adjudicators will be final.
- If participants in the Adult Artist category wish to sell artwork through the South Simcoe Arts Council, please indicate the price on the application form. Works not for sale must be marked NFS.
- If the artwork entered sells during the exhibition (from the date of application to end of the exhibit), SSAC will receive 30% commission from all sales. Sold artwork must remain in the exhibit until the end of the exhibition period.
- The Bradford West Gwillimbury Public Library and the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury will not be party to any sales or derive any revenue from sales.
- The artist's name and title of the piece must be on the back of each piece. Three-dimensional art should have a label securely fastened so it is out of sight (if possible) when placed on display.
- All works displayed must be original. Reproductions (copies, whether mechanical or digital) will not be accepted.
- All hanging art must be suitably wired and ready to hang. Wiring must be appropriate to the weight of the art. Please review our Framing Guidelines prior to framing your art for exhibition.
- The submission of any entry gives permission to SSAC or Bradford West Gwillimbury Public Library to make and use images of accepted work for publicity, documentary and archival purposes, including websites and publications.
- Please help us advertise this exhibit! Post and share on your social media and tag the BWG Public Library.
When submitting your registration you will be asked to: Agree that I have read, acknowledge and will abide by the rules and conditions of the Holland Marsh Centennial Art Contest. I give permission for photos to be released for media, Bradford West Gwillimbury Public Library, Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury, and SSAC purposes.
