Small Work I, (lilac)

Each sculpture work is made from a single piece of white silk. The geometric layout of the blocks are inspired by the quilts and coverlets of the pioneer era.
The design is drawn on graph paper and then transferred on to the fabric. The silk is then painted, embroidered and stitched to create its sculptural surface. The sculptured piece is then mounted and framed.
