Mary Escott is a gifted local Indigenous artist who has been refining her talent for many decades. Her work has consisted of different mediums but her preferred medium is acrylics.
Her talent has been exhibited on canvas, murals, banners and also in a book for her native indigenous community of Sagamok.
Most recently Mary was awarded Simcoe County's 2022 Peoples Choice award for her work displayed through South Simcoe Arts Council.
Recently, she won the 2022 Arts on Main, Peoples Choice Award
Arts in our Community
Arts in Our Community is a South Simcoe Arts Council program that partners with community businesses to provide local artwork for our public spaces. All artwork shown in Arts in Our Community exhibits is by local artists who are members of the South Simcoe Arts Council.
