Christine Currie

Christine Currie is a multidisciplinary Canadian artist dedicated to exploring the precarious relationship between humanity, flora, and fauna. Through a lens of environmental wellness and social justice, Christine encourages viewers to contemplate the quiet power of the natural world.

Best known for her evocative printmaking, plein air paintings, and detailed portraiture, Christine works across diverse media, including watercolour, acrylics, graphite, and eco-conscious, hand-foraged materials. As an avid gardener, she creates custom inks and dyes from plants, which she often pairs with thread and mixed media on both traditional and repurposed substrates.

A recipient of multiple Ontario Arts Council grants, Christine's work is held in private collections across Canada.
