Kindy Clay Day

Level: Beginner
Medium: Clay
Ages: 4-7

Let your child's creativity shine—literally! In this playful workshop, little artists will get hands-on with clay as they shape and create their very own mini lanterns. Using simple hand-building techniques, kids will roll and sculpt clay to form cozy lantern shapes with cut-out designs that glow when lit with a small LED tealight.

Once complete, each lantern becomes a magical keepsake that can light up a bedroom or make a sweet handmade gift. This workshop is a fun way for children to explore texture, shape, and imagination—no experience needed!

We will use air dry clay, so the lanterns can be taken home at the end of the workshop and will be ready to shine once they dry!

Courtyard Studio is a special series of workshops made possible in part by funding from Canada Summer Jobs. Their generous support allows us to offer these workshops at a low cost, making creative opportunities more accessible to our community.
