Garden Insect Allies

Grab your sketchbook and jump into the garden habitat! Around the plants, there is a diversity of tiny allies supporting the garden's health.

In this live, online class, take a close look at the garden through photo and video footage, with Pencils, Paper & Nature's wildlife artist and naturalist.

Len shares her fascination with tiny garden creatures that fly, flutter, buzz and burrow, and explores how they each benefit the garden. Len provides live, step-by-step sketching techniques to create two nature journal pages.

By recording our observations through sketches and notes, nature journaling helps us discover and connect with nature in creative and personal ways.

The aim of this class is:
- to encourage nature exploration;
- to inspire observations through awareness and curiosity;
- and to spark confidence in creating nature sketches.
