History

The South Simcoe Arts Council began in the late 1980's with a small group dedicated to celebrating local art and culture. Officially declared the New Tecumseth and Area Arts Council in 1993, and incorporated in 1994, we are now in our 25th year.

With a name change to the South Simcoe Arts Council in 2007, we have been promoting and encouraging member artists of all skills, levels and disciplines from South Simcoe’s five municipalities (Bradford West Gwillimbury, Innisfil, New Tecumseth, Essa, Adjala-Tosorontio)
