LEND A HAND - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR OUR CHRISTMAS SHOW at 41 Victoria St. East

Hello Everyone! We are now in full swing at our Christmas Show that continues until January 6,2017 at the SSAC Gift Shop located at 41 Victoria St. E.!

There are so many things to see when you walk in the door! More art pieces are arriving each day. People are thrilled when they come in to see what our local artists and artisans have created and people are getting into the holiday spirit of giving.,

Lynda, Michelle Eissler along with your Board Members are evaluating the merits of extending the operational hours for the Holiday season. Our goal is to ensure that we have adequate volunteers to support staying open until 7:00pm on Friday evenings, operating Sundays from 11:30 am until 4;30 PM as well as assisting both the office and shop during the week.

That said we are seeking volunteers to mind the shop and assist with sales This is a great opportunity to meet people! You will be interacting with artists, members, member groups and the public in an active office complete with a gift store and storefront.

If you have one day or one afternoon to dedicate in November, December, we have a job for you. Although we will ensure that each volunteer will be assigned an experienced person to work with; training will be provided for processing sales and handling square (credit card) transactions.

Volunteering at the South Simcoe Arts Council will expose you to the important function of being the first point-of-contact at the SSAC – greeting a wide variety of customers in person on the phone, answering questions, and referring requests to senior members as needed.
