As Information

If you choose to participate in the AiOC Exhibits you will be asked to sign a contract.

Here are some of the key details of our Arts in Our Community (AiOC) Contract:

Membership & Participation

  • The Artist must be an SSAC member and be willing to sign this contract as set out.
  • The SSAC has the right to refuse artwork due to unprofessional quality.
  • The Artist will provide a bio or artist statement to display with exhibit as well as make sure their Membership Directory profile is up to date. This includes profile picture, description, and relevant links to websites or social media.

    Sales

  • Work displayed should be priced for sale – less than 10% of work may be designated "NFS", or not for sale.
  • Artists will set their own retail prices. SSAC takes a 30% commission of total gross sale and all sales will be processed through our retail shop, FortyOne: Local Art Market.
  • SSAC does not charge sales tax. Artists that are required to remit taxes must account for that in their set retail price.
  • SSAC does not provide exchanges/refunds to customers.

    Display of Works

  • The Artist is responsible for hanging and taking down their own work.

  • Artists wanting their work to be featured in our online store for sale must provide good quality digital images of each item to be sold online on a neutral background (or background cropped out).

    Liability
The SSAC and Business are not responsible for any artwork that may be damaged or stolen during the exhibit. Both parties will do their best to maintain the security of your items. However, should any loss or damage occur, the Artist accepts the full risk of loss or damaged items placed on exhibit. SSAC highly recommends all artists obtain consignment insurance on any items exhibited in AiOC locations.
