In Harmony is an exhibition of wood pieces and acrylic paintings by two friends George McCart and our SSAC member, Joanne Lomas. In this show they bring together their distinct mediums in a perfect balance.
Joanne Lomas is a painter who enjoys hiking and exploring the outdoors. Her acrylic paintings express moments in these landscapes, blending realism with abstract.
George is a woodworker who showcases the natural beauty of wood, sometimes enhanced with custom epoxy colors, and sometimes left in its pure form to create stunning, functional pieces.
Together, they present In Harmony, a celebration of how Mother Nature naturally inspires and shapes their artistic practices.
Meet the artists at the official Opening Reception to be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026 from 1-3 pm at the Headwaters Gallery in the Alton Mill Arts Centre, Alton, Ontario.
IN HARMONY runs from April 22 – May 24, 2026.
