SSAC & Member Artist Events - Whimsical and Realistic Mushroom Workshop

Join us for a fun, hands-on workshop where you'll create your own ceramic mushrooms from enchanting fairy-tale styles to life-like replicas.
Locatlon: Tec-We-Gwill WI (Newton Robinson) Hall, 4380 Line 10, Bradford West Gwillimbury

Session 1: January 28 and February 11
Session 2: February 4 and February 18
Time: 7:00-9:00 p.m.
Fee: $45 for Tec-We-Gwill WI members and 16 and younger, and $75 for non-members (Includes clay and all materials)

Week 1: Sculpting and Hand Building Design Techniques
We provide design examples and demonstrate shaping techniques. Create your own personalized clay mushroom creations. All clay and materials will be provided. Your dried pieces will be kiln fired before the 2nd week.
Week 2: Glazing
Choose from a variety of vibrant and earthy colours. Apply layers of glaze with a paint brush.
Your pieces will be glaze fired after the session and You will be contacted for a pick-up date.
