Cathy Ball was born and raised in Orillia, ON and was drawn to art from a young age. Her mother enrolled her in adult painting class at the age of 10 and her passion for creativity in the arts blossomed from there. Her work reflects the inspiration she finds in the beauty of nature. Forest groves, waterfalls, fall colours, lakeshores, woodland trails, sunsets and sunrises, Northern Lights and many other natural landscape themes dominate her work.
Working primarily in watercolour often with a variety of supportive media, Cathy channels the splendour of the natural world through her brush. Cathy also upcycles frames whenever she can, to help the environment and the price of her paintings.
