Current Exhibits - David Barber

Sep 10, 2024 - Dec 6, 2024

David Barber is a contemporary visual artist who paints primarily in oils. His work reflects his interest in the human form, simple pleasures and the natural beauty of the world.

His exposure to the great masters and great Canadian painters such as Peal, Varley and Colville early in life created a desire that was never lost.

For years David wondered what it would be like to paint. In 2004, he acted upon this yearning, after reading a short essay by Winston Churchill who painted for very personal reasons. At this time, David started studying with some gifted artists.
Imagery can stir emotions that create thought, a reminder of the past, or a sense of well- being, and this is what his images try to represent.

David believes that everyone has the ability to create art. As children we all create art. We should never lose that.
