Clean up

This series is built from materials found around my home—objects often overlooked, yet deeply embedded in the rhythm of daily life. Many of these items are tools or remnants associated with labour.
By recontextualizing them through this artwork, I shift their purpose from task to testimony. These pieces are not just about domestic or manual labour; they are a personal reflection on the invisible weight of routine, memory, and care. Each object holds a trace of my life—its textures, its wear, its story. Together, they form a quiet, intimate landscape of the self.

Small in scale but deliberate in execution, this pinch pot is finished with a high gloss that highlights its compact form. Around its edge, coarse push broom bristles are woven—an unexpected material choice that speaks to both resourcefulness and restraint. The repetition of weaving, the tactility of the surface, and the humble origins of the materials all echo the central themes of Held Together.

This piece, like others in the series, finds cohesion through method and material. It invites a second look—what is often overlooked becomes the point of focus, transformed through gesture, rhythm, and care.
