Seekers

The "seekers"was inspired by my granddaughters' photo from inside a Montreal church. The arches strength and focus of the people bathed in the light made me think of how we are all 'seekers', whether it be for support or enlightenment.
I intended to keep realism at a minimum to capture the feeling of calm within a place that people actively attend at the same time knowing that the feelings can also come from reflecting in the light anywhere.

Artist Bio

Whether landscapes, seascapes, people or animals, I love to draw, and paint. "Love life and art."

The medium I paint with most is acrylic, although I also enjoy others, such as pastel and watercolour.

My works are "memorable images" of special places and times. I try to capture motion and light. Recently I have been creating more abstract paintings which I find fun and challenging. Creating a composition that involves the viewer to sense the light and motion with keeping them involved in the flow of the line and colour is fun for me. I hope to give pleasure and evoke a memory to the viewers.
I teach to encourage young artists and anyone wishing to improve their present ability through seeing shape and colour, getting past the fear of starting a piece, to enjoying creating with colour, lines and shapes.

I have sold works across Canada, in the USA, and UK.
