Current Exhibits - Sarah Macey

Sarah Macey attended OCAD, but found her real inspiration for creating art in other parts of her life. She first taught art at the Dance Workshop's Summer Stage arts camps, and found her passion there for helping children and adults see the beauty in the world around them, and to help them recognize the magic and beauty within themselves. Sarah loves to work in a mix of watercolour and acrylic, creating mixed media collages with bold colour and texture. Some of her favourite works are the portrait commissions she has done. She also loves adding natural elements such as dried flowers and herbs, stones and crystals, as well as found objects to her works.
Sarah also owns and operates Rebel Crumb cake shop along with her husband Ed, and so creates in buttercream and fondant as well. Sarah loves how the two mediums inform and inspire each other. Sarah teaches workshops and classes in both art and icing, for children and adults.
