Antonio, who has always been passionate about art, took lessons in painting while he was growing up in Portugal. He has been a Martial Arts Instructor in Canada since 1986, and opened his school in Alliston, The Tecumseth Peaceful Warriors in 1999, where he continues to teach Russian Martial Arts, Tae Kwon Do and Tai Chi. He continued to paint throughout his teaching career, and made it to the Second Round in the Battle of the Brushes in Alliston in June 2015. Antonio is a member of The Artists at the Gibson, who meet weekly to share their painting experience.
