Gina McCloskey
Gina McCloskey's artwork exists on the periphery of the natural world and of the dream realm, exposing glimpses of
alternate realities. Gina is a Canadian visual artist who resides in South Simcoe, Ontario. Inspired by the shores of Lake
Simcoe, organic materials, and fossilized wood, she explores the fantastic and the mystical in the world around her with a
variety of mediums. Gina's art acts as a map where the viewer is drawn in to navigate the camouflaged hybrid figures that
shapeshift from human, to animal, to insect stemming from the world of shadows.
Gina carries a diploma in Fine Arts Advanced with Honours from Georgian College, a Bachelor of Fine Arts Honours
degree from Thompson Rivers University and a diploma in Interior Decorating from Humber College. Gina's work has
recently been showcased in The Newmarket Juried Artshow, The ArtSquared Show with Arts on the Credit, as well as
various international galleries, group shows and online art platforms, receiving several awards for her paintings.
