Leonora Husveti-Frenette B.A.

Leonora Husveti-Frenette, B.A. taught Dance at the University of Toronto while writing poetry. Later she joined her magician husband in performing their original illusions at Hollywood's Magic Castle and on luxury cruise ships around the world.

In 2013 Leonora won 2nd prize from South Simcoe Arts Council for her first art creation. In 2014 she also received SSAC's Alice Forestell Award for most promising emerging artist. In 2016 Leonora's work was voted Best in Mixed Media at a juried show by SCI Ontario. In 2017 she won Best in Mixed Media again and also took Best in Show. She also received 1st Prize from the Hungarian Visual Artists of Canada, and the Artist Without Barriers award from the City of Barrie. In 2018 Leonora's collages won 1st again at HuVAC, an Award of Excellence at Manhattan Arts International, and in 2019, Best in Show at South Simcoe Arts Council.

Artworks by LHF have been exhibited in Orillia's Museum of Art and History; Midland's Quest Gallery; Barrie's MacLaren Art Centre; Barrie's City Hall; Collingwood's Blue Mountain Foundation for the Arts; Toronto's Joseph D. Carrier Gallery, Todmorden Mills Gallery, Art Square Gallery, and others. Leonora's work is in private collections in Canada and Hungary.

Leonora Husveti-Frenette's art was featured in several publications including the 15th and 20th Anniversary Book by Hungarian Visual Artists of Canada; Good Life Magazine; and OUTSPOKEN! Magazine. She was the cover artist for Transitory Tango, a Canadian Anthology of Poetry published by The Ontario Poetry Society. KOLAJ Magazine included her in their international artist directory.
