Thirteen years into "Life After Injury", former English teacher and now poet and visual artist, Valerie Losell continues manifest admiration for everyday life in watercolour, pastel, pen and ink drawings whose compositions invite new perspectives on the ordinary. Valerie's love of languages and the power of words continue to inform, intersect and amplify her visual art in poetry, stories and strange titles.

Valerie exhibits extensively throughout Simcoe County, sells blank art card and matted print versions of her work regionally, and over the last two years has also illustrated and edited three children's books, won several poetry and story prizes and contributed poems to several anthologies.
