Flyers and Spinners - Paper Toy Engineering

Level: Beginner
Medium: Paper
Ages: 6+

Get ready for takeoff! In this high-energy, hands-on workshop, kids will explore the magic of movement as they design and create paper toys that spin, twirl, and fly through the air. We will make a mesmerizing twirligig and a rocket that flies! This workshop blends craft, creativity, and a little bit of engineering fun!

Children will learn how to construct movable joints and interactive parts using colourful paper, simple mechanisms and their imaginations. No experience necessary - just a love of crafting and play!

There is no fee to participate in this workshop but we ask that you register in advance so we can be ready for your little engineer. Space is limited to 8 participants.

Courtyard Studio is a special series of workshops made possible in part by funding from Canada Summer Jobs. Their generous support allows us to offer these workshops at a low cost, making creative opportunities more accessible to our community.
