During this workshop, participants will roll, brush, stencil, or stamp acrylic paint onto a soft gel plate. A piece of paper or cardstock is pressed onto the gel plate to transfer the acrylic image onto the paper or cardstock. The resulting image may be left as it is, or additional layers of paint can be applied as desired.
It is a fun afternoon experimenting with layers of shapes, colour, paint and various papers.
Location: The Make Space room at FortyOne: Local Art Market, 41 Victoria Street East, Alliston

Joanne Lomas is a long time resident of Simcoe County. Her work is mainly focused on landscape. She is an avid camper, hiker and traveler and loves to explore her surroundings with paint and photography. Her work is intuitive, relying on the moment and how the medium reacts to the surface. Painting abstractly with subtle expressions of familiarity, Joanne's paintings encourage the viewer to experience the moment as their own. Her photography is a blend of her own photographs reworked in her own painterly technique. Joanne is also a printmaker, always trying new methods for creating images.
She loves to teach and help others find joy in art.
