Meditative Line Drawing

Come get lost in the wonderment of the continuous line! Through combining blind contouring, tracing, freehand drawing and trust in self, you will gain confidence and new skills to develop this one line art technique. Find some mindfulness in your day as you release expectations and unleash your creative flow ~ no experience necessary!

*SSAC reserves the right to cancel any class due to low enrolment. We recommend registering as early as possible.

Location: The workshop will be held in the boardroom on the third floor of The Gibson Centre, located at 63 Tupper Street West, Alliston.

Instructor - Monica Loney

Monica Loney is a Métis visual artist based in Barrie, Ontario, known for large-scale murals and public art. Her work blends technical skill with community storytelling, aiming to foster connection and dialogue. In 2022, she received Barrie's Emerging Artist Award for her contributions to accessible, inclusive art. Recently, she has received an Ontario Community Changemakers grant from 8-80 Cities and continued her advocacy on the benefits of public art through her project 'The Transformative Power of Public Art.' Monica uses blind contouring and the continuous line in her works to represent our universal connection we all share.
