Soulful Painting with Melted Wax

Level: All Levels
Medium: Encaustic
Ages: Teen/Adult

Encaustic Art is an ancient medium using melted wax to create unique and beautiful images. The instructor will show you 4-5 techniques and then let students create several pieces unique to them. Experience the process of getting back to play, letting go of stress and allowing what transpires to happen. This is an abstract class, that allows you to experiment with a new medium and how the tools work. Students will complete multiple pieces on 4"x6" glossy paper, then matt their favourite and encase it in a cello sleeve.

Location: The Make Space room at FortyOne: Local Art Market, 41 Victoria Street East, Alliston
