In this 2 Saturday workshop you will learn a manner of using a brush that can be incorporated into any artistic practice.
You will become familiar with 3 basic brushstrokes and use them to paint at least one of what are called 'The Four Gentlemen' - bamboo, wild orchid, chrysanthemum and plum blossom - as well as other subjects.
The students will have input into what subjects they wish to try.
This artform is over 2000 years old.
It is non-toxic, using very few supplies, all of which are hand-made although the paper used in the workshop will be machine-made.
Location: The Make Space room at FortyOne: Local Art Market, 41 Victoria Street East, Alliston
